Can I ride a rental motorcycle off-road?

No. Rental motorcycles may only be ridden on paved public roads. At MotoGS Rental Croatia, off-road riding, gravel tracks, trails, beaches, racetracks, and other non-public or unpaved riding areas are not permitted.

This rule applies even if you rent a BMW GS motorcycle. BMW GS models are known for their adventure-touring capabilities, but our rental motorcycles are prepared and insured for road touring, not for off-road use.

The reason is simple: off-road riding creates a much higher risk of damage, tire problems, mechanical wear, recovery costs, and insurance complications. We keep our motorcycles in excellent technical condition so every customer receives a safe, clean, and properly maintained motorcycle.

If the motorcycle is used outside the permitted road conditions, this may be treated as a serious breach of the motorcycle rental agreement. It can affect insurance cover, increase the renter’s liability, and may lead to a higher excess in the event of damage.

For scenic riding, Croatia and the Balkan region offer many excellent paved mountain roads, coastal roads, national park routes, and remote touring roads that are perfect for BMW GS motorcycles without leaving permitted road surfaces.
