Technical data
BMW R1300GS with DSA and ASA: no clutch lever, but still real rider control
The BMW R1300GS with DSA and ASA is for experienced riders who want one of the most advanced BMW GS rental motorcycles in Croatia. It combines the latest 1300 cc boxer GS platform, Dynamic Suspension Adjustment, adaptive vehicle height control and BMW Automated Shift Assistant in one high-end motorcycle for paved-road riding.
The key difference is ASA. This version has no clutch lever. The system can shift automatically when you want relaxed riding, but you can still shift manually with the foot shift lever. That means you can ride from first to sixth gear and back down again without using a clutch lever, while still keeping active control over gear selection whenever you prefer.
Automatic shifting or manual foot shifting: you choose
ASA is not the same as riding a scooter. This is still a full-size BMW R1300GS with boxer engine, shaft drive and a real motorcycle riding feel. In automatic mode, the motorcycle handles clutch operation and gear changes for you. This is especially useful in traffic, city sections, ferry queues, border crossings, stop-and-go riding and long paved-road riding days.
When you want more direct control, you can use the foot shift lever and shift manually without a clutch lever. This makes the ASA version especially interesting for riders who want comfort when the route is relaxed, but still want to choose gears themselves on mountain roads, fast open sections or winding coastal roads.
Why choose this BMW R1300GS for motorcycle rental in Croatia?
If you are looking for BMW motorcycle rental in Croatia, motorcycle rental near Split Airport or one of the best BMW GS rental motorcycles in Croatia, the BMW R1300GS with DSA and ASA is one of the most advanced choices in our fleet. The 1300 cc boxer engine delivers strong torque, smooth power and confident performance for long riding days on paved roads. This motorcycle is well suited to coastal roads, mountain sections, fast open roads and multi-country riding routes starting from Croatia.
ASA or manual clutch: which R1300GS is right for you?
Choose this BMW R1300GS with DSA and ASA if you want automated shifting, no clutch lever and the option to shift manually with the foot shift lever. It is the better choice if you want maximum comfort in traffic and on long riding days, but still want an active BMW GS riding experience.
Choose the manual DSA version if you prefer a normal clutch lever and traditional clutch control. Both motorcycles use the modern R1300GS platform, but they feel different in daily riding, especially during slow manoeuvres, parking, traffic, ferry ramps, mountain switchbacks and tight village streets.
If you prefer a normal manual clutch with clutch lever, compare this model with our BMW R1300GS with DSA and manual clutch for motorcycle rental in Croatia.
