Crossing borders. What countries can I ride the motorcycle in?

Main question: Is it permitted to cross national borders with a motorcycle rented from us?

YES, it is permitted.

Our motorcycles are fully insured in all countries within the EU. Other countries that are not members of the EU, but the motorcycle is insured in, are: Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, and Montenegro, as well as the European part of Turkey.
There is NO insurance coverage in Kosovo.

So, in principle, you can cross the borders to the countries already mentioned, EXCEPT Kosovo.

However, there are two important points to note when crossing the border with the border police:
1. Present an insurance confirmation using the International Insurance Card (IVK) (formerly the Green Card) and
2. Written border crossing permit.

We will give you the IVK and the border crossing permit when you pick up your motorcycle, along with your vehicle registration and the rental agreement.

However, we ask that you inform us in advance of your intended border crossing in the message field when booking, and at the latest when picking up your motorcycle.

You will not incur any costs for the border crossing permit.
We consider the free issuance of the border crossing permit as a service, as we are aware that there is always a strong desire to ride to other countries.

Of course, a passport is required or depending on the country of origin and the destination, a national ID card alone may be sufficient. Furthermore, a Class A driver's license is required, and depending on the country of issue, an International Driver's License may also be required.
We are noticing that the presentation of an IDP is increasingly being requested at borders.
