Can I cross borders with the rented motorcycle, and which countries are allowed?

Yes, you can cross borders with a motorcycle rented from MotoGS Rental Croatia, as long as you stay within the countries covered by our insurance and carry the required documents.

Our BMW GS rental motorcycles can be ridden in all EU countries. In addition, you may also ride in Switzerland and in all Balkan countries except Kosovo. This makes MotoGS Rental Croatia a practical choice if you are planning a motorcycle trip through Croatia, the Balkans, or a longer cross-border tour through Europe.

Important: Kosovo is not covered by our insurance and is therefore not allowed. The Asian part of Turkey is also not allowed. If your planned route includes border crossings, please make sure you stay only within the countries permitted under our rental and insurance conditions.

For every international trip, you must carry the required documents. These include the border crossing permit, the International Insurance Card (Green Card), the rental agreement, and the vehicle registration documents. We provide the necessary border and insurance documents at pickup, so you are properly prepared before you start your trip.

You should also carry your passport or national ID card and a valid Category A motorcycle license. If your license was not issued in an EU or EEA country, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may also be required or strongly recommended, depending on your nationality and the countries on your route.

If you already know that your route will include border crossings, please let us know before pickup so we can prepare the correct documents for your trip.
